1. The deadline for dropping off handouts for the swag bags has been moved back to February 20th (Saturday).
The following is a repeat of additional information Ashlee Wallace (CO State Parks) already provided. “Supplies can be dropped off at our Visitor Center at 1800 11 8/10 Road, Loma, CO 81524. Google Maps will lead you to our maintenance shop, which is incorrect. Our VC is the big building at the end of 11 8/10 Road, with brick and green siding. It’s open nearly every day from 8am – 4pm. If someone needs to drop stuff off after 4pm, they can contact me or Alan directly and we can set something up. We have campground hosts that live here in the park who would be able to accept items.” Ashley can be reached at ashlee.wallace@state.co.us
2. Swag bags will be distributed to classrooms on a first-come first-serve basis, and thus will be handed out AFTER the safety fair week when we will have the analytics for participation and number of students in the classrooms which make the cut.
3. If your organization or business would like to donate a prize for the safety fair drawing, or if you have any questions about this activity, please contact the Mesa County Safety Council at mesacountysafetycouncil@gmail.com. Jim Pringle (MCSC Secretary) will coordinate prize donations.
Prizes for the safety fair drawing are scheduled to be given to the winning classrooms at the same time swag bags will be provided to those same classrooms. Some prizes are also being planned for individual home-schooled students.
A bonus is that organizations and businesses that donate prizes will be recognized when their donated prize is awarded!
4. The deadline for submitting safety videos and related question lists is February 17th (Wednesday) to make sure that they will get posted on the MCSC’s “Virtual Safety Fair” web page.
Please contact Luke Daniel (luke@primarysc.com) if you have any questions or need assistance producing a safety video for your organization.
5. The next MCSC (virtual) meeting is scheduled for 2/12/21 (FRIDAY)
Time: 10:30 AM MST
