The Mesa County Safety Fair is an annual event held at the Mesa Mall in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Safety Fairs are normally held for two consecutive days sometime within the last two weeks of February through the first two weeks of March. Timing of safety fair dates varies from year to year to accommodate attendees, exhibitors and mall schedules.
There is no cost for admission or participation.
The MCSC targets its safety messages mainly to grade schoolers, particularly to 2nd through 4th graders, as this is a time of great wonder and it provides an excellent opportunity to get the safety awareness thought processes moving in the minds of the students.
Busing is provided at no cost to School District 51 attendees by the MCSC and our generous donors to safely get the children, teachers and parent volunteers from their respective schools to the mall and back. Home schoolers and private school students are also encouraged to attend. The Mesa County Safety Fair experiences a wide variety of visitors from the very young to the elderly and all are encouraged to participate in the fun, interesting and safety-themed activities our fair has to offer.
